(Wm.) Howard Weeden was born February 11, 1918 in rural Richland County, WI to Pinckney & Mabel Ferguson Weeden. He went to his eternal Rest on February 27, 2011 in Janesville, WI. Howard graduated from Richland Center High School — Class of 1937. On November 21, 1939, he married the love of his life, Beth Johnson.
Howard became a draftsman, working many years at both Besly-Welles in South Beloit, IL & Ingersoll Milling Machine Co. in Rockford, IL. He retired from Ingersoll in 1982.
Early on, Howard accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior, & lived in that Light for the rest of his life. All his children & grandchildren have been blessed to follow his example. He last attended services at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Afton, WI.
Howard is survived by his wife; children: (Doris) Dawn of Mission, SD, Brian (Denise) of Janesville, WI, and Larry (Beth) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Nathan (Janet) Weeden of Des Moines, IA, Kevin (Kitty) Weeden of Minneapolis, MN, Amy (Frank) Millard of Janesville, WI, and Matthew (Angela) Weeden of Denver, CO; great-granddaughters Ella and Grace Millard of Janesville, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; sisters: Naomi Whale, Wanda Weeden, (Dorothea) Waneta Chenoweth, Merita Hartje, Nelda Fortner, and Patricia Gunderson; and brothers: Willard, Bernard, & Maynard.
A memorial service and celebration of Howard’s life will be held at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Afton, WI on March 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
