FRCS sets program on autism, speech therapy

JANESVILLE —Family Respite Care Services is providing an educational program for parents, providers and professionals of autistic students from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at FRCS, 2707 Bond Place, Janesville.

Topics to be covered by Speech - Language Pathologist Susan R. Pike, M.S., CCC-SLP, will include “What is Autism Spectrum Disorder?” and “Is There a Difference Between Medical and Educational Autism?” as well as “How Do Learning Styles in Autism Affect Communication?” 

Cost of the program is $10 for registration, with attendees receiving $5 back upon arrival. Refreshments and childcare is included. For more information or to register, call 608-758-0956.
