The MORSE Group in Beloit, the parent company of AMP, ASA, Morse and Rockwell, located at 1390 Gateway Boulevard, is undergoing an expansion project, according to records provided by Drew Pennington, principal planner for the City of Beloit.

The company applied for a permit for a 26,000-square-foot addition at its facilities at 1390 Gateway Boulevard. The city approved site plans on Oct. 5 and construction started shortly afterward.

The building permit fee indicates the cost of building materials to be roughly $1 million. The expansion is being done to the southwest side of the company's existing facility. They are expanding the parking lot and adding a loading dock as well.

The MORSE Group is now comprised of a network of member companies with more than $100 million in annual sales. Collectively, these member companies bring engineering, construction, automation services, and project development under a unified umbrella. The MORSE Group provides commercial, industrial, institutional, hospitality, and utility markets with complete energy solutions, according to its Web site, www.morsegroup.com.
