Mrs. Marcella Baker, 86, of Rockton, Illinois, died on Sunday, August 1, 2010. She was born on February 8, 1924 in Kingsbury County South Dakota to Clarence and Marie Storlie. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. She worked at Goldberg’s Broadwear as a bookkeeper for 4 years. She was joined in marriage to Donald G. Baker on October 27, 1943. She then became a homemaker and began raising a family. She loved sewing and knitting. She especially loved going to garage sales with the love of her life, Donald.
She is survived by three children, Dennis Baker-Mesa AZ, Dean (Diane) Baker, Rockton IL, Genine Baker, Phoenix Az. Nine grandchildren: Leslie, Lindsay, Chad, Matthew, Jessica, Marcus, Christina, Nathan and Helena. Brother-in-law, Morris Miller, Beloit, WI. Sister-in-law, Lila Baker, Sun Prairie, WI. Sister, Lucinda Baker, Rockton IL., Dorothy Gills, Washington and Patricia Hayter, South Beloit, IL., and several nieces and nephews other family members and friends.
She is predeceased by: her husband, Donald Baker, her parents, sister, Helen Miller, and brothers-in-law, George Baker and John Hayter.
The funeral service will be on Saturday August 7, 2010 at Rosman, Uehling Kinzer Funeral Home, Time 3 p.m. Mr. Lance Bifulk will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday, August 7 at Rosman, Uehling Kinzer Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
