David Luck, chief executive officer of ABC Supply Company, based in Beloit, will retire by the end of the year.
ABC Supply’s current president, Keith Rozolis, has been elected by the ABC Supply board of directors to succeed Luck as CEO.
Luck joined ABC Supply in 1998 as the company’s first president outside the Hendricks family. He was named CEO in 2008. He will continue to serve as a member of ABC Supply’s board of directors after he retires on Dec. 31.
During his 15-year tenure at ABC Supply, Luck presided over unprecedented growth of the company, built a world-class organization, championed ABC Supply’s largest and most successful acquisition — that of Bradco Supply Corp. — and led the subsequent buyout of its minority partner earlier in 2013.
“David has played an integral role in the growth and success that ABC Supply has enjoyed,” said ABC Supply Co-Founder and Chairman Diane Hendricks. “I am grateful for David’s passion, vision and leadership over these past 15 years, and especially for his dedication to preserving and advancing the mission and core values on which Ken (Hendricks) and I founded this company.”
Prior to joining ABC, Luck was CEO and president of Bridgestone/Firestone Retail Store Operations Company, where he was responsible for the national chain of 1,700 company-owned tire and automobile service stores.
ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing in the United States and one of the nation’s largest distributors of siding, windows and other select exterior building products.
The company was founded by Ken and Diane Hendricks in 1982. Today the company has more than 450 branches in 45 states.
It is a seven-time winner of the Gallup Great Workplace Award.
