Jerry L. Berry, 65, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, August 1, 2010 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 26, 1944 in Beloit, WI, the son of Thomas and Geraldine (Tielke) Berry. Jerry married Karen Gunderson on February 16, 1968 in Faith Lutheran Church, South Beloit, IL.

Jerry was formerly employed by Fairbanks Morse Company and Interpace in South Beloit, Il. He was also a self employed painter. Jerry enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, golf and was a big Green Bay Packer fan. He also volunteered at the senior center where he lived.

Survivors include his former wife, Karen Gunderson of Beloit, WI; three children, Dawn Champion-Spencer, Michele (Don) Christophersen and Steve (Holly) Berry all of Beloit, WI; nine grandchildren, Dominique (Anthony) Holsten, Ashley (Troy) Berry, Nichole (Kelsey) Kolpien, Jamie (Tim) Kolpien, Jarred Christophersen, Steven Barry Jr., Jessica Trenten Dobbs, Audrianna Carter, Jaleeyah Carter, Brayden Berry, Arrabelle Christophersen; one brother, Fred (Joan) Berry of Beloit, WI; two sisters, Sandra Tiekle Wenger of Arkansas and Penny (John) Dollinger of Beloit, WI; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Dick Christophersen, Tom Theide, Jake Leonard, Gerald (Marsha) Vance and many more good friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Tom Berry, close friends, William Bills and Terry Thomas and step mother, Bernice.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, Robert Peterson officiating. There will be no visitation.
