Lukas “Luke” A. Anderson, 18, of South Beloit, IL, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 in his home.

He was born March 23, 1994 in Rockford, IL, the son of Leon and Shannon (Gwaltney) Anderson. Luke was a 2012 valedictorian graduate of South Beloit High School. He planned on attending Beloit College in the fall.

Luke loved animals and enjoyed reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons and video games.

Survivors include his parents, Leon (Rosa) Anderson of South Beloit, IL and Shannon (Chris) Fisher of South Beloit, IL; brother, Lee (Brittany) Anderson of Beloit, WI; sister, Katie Anderson of South Beloit, IL; step sisters, Kirsten Fisher of Roscoe, IL, and Bailie Keller of South Beloit, IL; sister-in-law, Lanae Anderson of South Beloit, IL; paternal grandparents, Leon and Donna Anderson of Theodosia, MO; maternal grandparents, Sandy Morse of Poplar Grove, IL, and Ray Gwaltney of Rockford, IL; uncles, Alan Anderson and Ryan Gwaltney; aunts, Maegan Gwaltney and Erin Stout; best friends, Codey Cross and Josh Dilley.

He was predeceased by his brother, Jacob Seth Anderson.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Gene VanGalder officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Luke Anderson Memorial Fund c/o Blackhawk Bank.
